The Intermec Medallion Silver Replacement Service Contract plan features on demand dispatch of a customer-owned spare unit overnight, then applies industry-leading repairs to the unit within five business days and returns it to the replacement pool, ready for productive operation.
Intermec's Medallion Overnight Exchange Plan "Silver Replacement" provides a customer-owned ready-to-run spare overnight, to take the place of a failed device. The Silver Replacement plan provides for the return of the failed unit to factory operation specifications within a five-business-day turnaround schedule, ready to serve as the next replacement, when necessary. When a three-year Silver Replacement contract is purchased pre-paid, Medallion Complete coverage is included at no extra charge. The Intermec Silver Replacement version of our Medallion Service Contract plans ensure that critical data collection devices are dispatched, on demand (as long as the request is received before 3 PM local time), free of charge, then repaired, tested and returned to the replacement spares pool. Each replacement unit is shipped in reusable/returnable packaging to facilitate the return of the defective unit to the Intermec Repair Depot for any needed repairs. Intermec repairs are warranted for 90 days, and performed to exacting factory standards, using Intermec authorized parts and procedures.
Note 1: To qualify for the Medallion Silver Replacement plan, a 100-unit minimum of the same model device is required. Intermec recommends the replacement pool inventory be five-to-fifteen percent of the customer owned units of the same model, depending on environmental and operational factors. The Customer must ensure the return of the failed unit to Intermec within five business days from the date of receipt of the replacement.
